There are three types of solar panels which have a solar cell that is made uniquely. We have the monocrystalline solar panel, in this, the solar cells are made of pure silicon just like the traditional solar panels. Photovoltaic is responsible for the conversion of energy from sunlight. The solar cells are black because sunlight interacts with the pure silicon. Secondly, we have the polycrystalline solar panel that has drastically risen due to its efficiency and popularity. They are made of a fragment of silicon joined together. The solar cell is blue because the sunlight is reflected by the crystals. Lastly, we have thin flat solar panels that are thin and are not made of silicon. The solar panel is thinner than those that use wafers. The cells are black and blue depending on the material used.
